Sean Spann has worked as a teacher and an actor in Los Angeles for over a decade. As a teacher, in addition to his role as the Head of Voice and Speech at The Art of Acting Studio, he teaches movement and voice at Identity School of Acting. He’s also instructed Voice/Speech at AMDA College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Acting and Voice/Speech at the University of California-Irvine, and privately coaches actors in dialects and accent adjustment. Television credits include roles on The People Vs O.J. Simpson, Shameless, Jane the Virgin, The Mentalist, Major Crimes, and Southland. Film credits include the award winning feature film Novem. Stage credits include “Road to Nirvana” at the Harold Clurman Lab Theatre, Circle X’s world premiere of Jim Leonard’s Bad Apples, Coeurage Theatre’s Secret in the Wings, and four seasons as a company member of the New Swan Shakespeare Festival. He holds a B.F.A. in Acting from the University of Evansville and an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of California-Irvine.
