The AFA Studio - COVID-19 Policy 

NOTE:

During the COVID-19 health crisis, our strong preference is that all appointments continue to be conducted online via Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype. By choosing an in-person appointment with us, you acknowledge that you voluntarily make this election and assume all associated risks and liability.

The AFA Studio is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and FUN studio for our Actors. Here are a few of the steps we're taking as we begin a phased re-opening process:

Precautions

All AFA Studio Clients (Actors) and Entourage (Parents, Guardians, Siblings, et al.) are required to wear a facial covering upon entering and exiting the studio. Don't worry, we'll be wearing masks as well! Client face coverings may be removed once we have arrived at the designated taping and/or coaching on-camera area. For all Entourage, we ask that you please leave your masks on for the duration of your time inside our studio.

A contactless, automatic hand sanitizer will be available throughout the entirety of the appointment (it's super fun to use!) for Clients, Entourage, and AFA Studio Staff.

We have adjusted our studio space to provide maximum distance between the Client (on-camera area) and AFA Studio Staff (recording area).

At the conclusion of the appointment, all impacted surfaces will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by AFA Studio Staff, and appointments will be staggered to allow adequate time for disinfecting.

Process (for Business Chats, Coachings, and Self-Tape Appointments)

Client will enter the on-camera area and the AFA Studio Staff will enter the recording area. We will have a designated space for bags, phones, or other personal items. As our restroom is closed during this time, we will provide a full-length mirror in the on-camera area for any wardrobe, hair, or make-up adjustments.

Once in the on-camera area, Client may remove their facial covering. AFA Studio Staff will continue to wear a facial covering when reading with the Client, following the guidelines set forth by the California Department of Public Health.

AFA Studio Staff will edit and send the tape from the recording area.

For Business Chats and Coachings, we will have a duplicate monitor available for the discussion of online profiles, headshots, reels, and performance playback.

Policies​

• Because we continue to offer (and prefer) remote appointments via Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype, an in-person visit to The AFA Studio is a voluntary election. The Client and Entourage thereby assume all associated risks and liability.
• If the Client or any member of their Entourage are feeling ill or displaying COVID-19 related symptoms of any kind, please DO NOT show up to the AFA Studio. We will gladly connect with you online or refund your appointment.
• No one will be permitted to enter The AFA Studio without a facial covering.
• For all Self-Tapes and Coachings: Please email us your sides and breakdowns ahead of time. Please do not bring any paper copies for us, we will provide our own!
• We are unable to provide props of any kind at this time, you are welcome to bring your own.
• The AFA Studio restroom is not available for Clients or Entourage. Please plan accordingly!
