In every class, you’re provided with an opportunity to perform, usually with a brand new scene. Each week, class will have a different theme so we can touch on every imaginable aspect in this industry--specifically targeting episodic television's Pilot Season right around the corner. With an industry that seems like it’s constantly evolving, our goal with the work is to stay relevant and get you TO BOOK THE JOB! We are tired of classes assigning THE SAME scene to actors for four to SIX WEEKS at a time, and often not even allowing every actor to perform. We refuse to do that. Would you want to sign up for a baseball team that only allows you to watch other players during practice and doesn't regularly allow you to get on the field to drill what you're learning? That's absolute trash.

What if I have to miss a class?
We know that you're busy being a rockstar. We get it. We're people too, sometimes we also get sick! Or go out of town! Have to run to Aunt Bertha's b-day party in Indiana! We understand.
If you're going to be absent from a class and you know ahead of time, please shoot us an email and let us know! We spend a lot of time prepping material that is just right for you, so it helps us to know in advance if your plans have changed. Adults: If you miss a class, you are welcome to hop in any other adult intensive night that month to make up for your absence! Usually the content is the same Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, so if you can do your make-up during the same week that's your best option! However you're welcome to stack your classes and go multiple times during one week if that is more helpful to you. Teens: If you miss a class, you receive a free self-tape credit that you can use any time that same month! Free self tape credits do not carry over from month-to-month. If you don't often have self tape requests from representation, we recommend scheduling your self tape session immediately and Chelsea or Abbie can find a scene to tape for you so that you have some camera time and can save your footage for your reel or your representation! Can I use my cellphone in class?
We know, we know, we know, it’s your LIFELINE! However, all we ask is that during class, lectures, scene work, etc., PLEASE HAVE RESPECT FOR YOUR FELLOW ACTORS AND TEACHERS! We want EVERYONE PRESENT! We periodically take little breaks for individual work and you will have time to check your phone, we promise. If there’s an emergency, or if there’s a baby at home, we understand. Just let us know.
Appropriate Conduct
We believe every student has the right to learn and practice their craft in an open, non-threatening, creative environment free of misconduct, harassment, and discrimination.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. If any actor ever feels threatened, or has been harassed, stalked, mistreated, etc., please report it IMMEDIATELY. If a student is found to have behaved inappropriately, they will be asked to leave without an invitation to return. The whole purpose of this space is to have a safe place where we can learn and explore together. |
